We can film and edit in high definition to produce a Blu-Ray master. The additional charge is £60 under the new pricing arrangements from 2010, to cover the extra time and computer storage necessary. The charge also includes downscaling to produce normal DVDs. Additional copies on Blu-ray disc are £20.
NOTE:
The blu-ray discs of feature films are mass produced from a glass master. The blu-ray discs we produce are individually burned with a computer, and not all players, especially the early ones, support this type of disc.
So, if buying a Blu-Ray player, please check that it plays BD-R. (It's the "-R" part that matters). Many new players support BD-R, check the manufuacturer's website for details. The following are examples of players that include BD-R playback in their specifications. They should all be obtainable for between £100 and £150.
Samsung BD-P1500
Samsung BD-P1600
Sony BDP-S360
Panasonic DMP-BD60
LG BD370
